Savage model 110 combo
I was just wondering if any of you have an experience or information on this gun and scope. I have seen it at wal-mart for like $300 is this rifle any good and is the scope usable?
Thanks.
Thanks.

RE: Savage model 110 combo
City Hunters,
I own a Savage .22-250 w/ 26" heavy varmint barrel and it's well worth the money that I paid for it. Savage rifles are well known for their out-of-the-box accuracy.
As for the scope on the "combo rifle", they're usable, but I'd replace it as soon as possible with a better scope....the mounts too.
Good hunting, Bowhunter57

I have the 110 in .243 cal. and it is very accurate with good trigger; the scope that came with it in the package wasn't hitt'n on much. Generally speaking, I think if you are like me (on a limited budget), you will be pleased with this purchase.

Have a savage 116 synthetic stock& stainlesss steel & scope in 30/06( its fairly light weight) , got it a few yrs ago for $250., discounted price at wal ma rt & just got to using it this year.
Great rifle ...for the price cant beat it.
I did get new millet mounts for it($10) & a $36.00 dollar scope /up grade ..dosnt even match ..its a black scope. lol .. boy am i cheap. But elk cow didnt notice tho last week & next week either will the bulls or deer etc that its a plain jane , afordable rifle <img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>.
but i dont sleep with it or take it out to dinner - just hunt with it& it shoots well, functions good even wet, frozzen & full of grit etc.

RE: Savage model 110 combo
I purchased a Savage 110 combo in .270 several years back. The scope is supposed to be bore sited at the factory but I went through a box of shells without touching paper inside of 50 yards in an attempt to get it sited in. The darn thing kicked worse than my 45-70 ever has. I sold it with great joy in my heart.
