If you wanted to scope it, the best thing is to get a low style weaver base and a small 1.5-4 x 32 Bushnell scope for it. The raised up scope rings are okay, but can be a little awkward to get used to.
I had a fixed 4x32 scope on mine, but it broke, so I took it off and just got used to using the open iron sights on it.
You have to figure out which type of ammo your 30-30 likes. You only have a short time to do it before opening day too! [&:] Winchester, Remington, Federal, and the new Hornady LeverEvolution, etc... the possibilities are endless.
