I think the optics forum is good idea. New forum users are unsure of whether to post in the guns forums or the gear forum. It might help clear up some confusion.

I hope your not going to base whether or not we get an optic forum on the result of the feedback you get. I’m not sure, but I don’t think very many members scroll down this far on this page. I know I normally never do, but just happen to do it today.

I've been lobbying for an optics forum for about as long as I have been here. Admin just doesn't seem to see the need for it.[&o]

9. night vision.
10. Archery sights?
11. Where to shop/ good deals.
12. the beloved and endless debate over which scopes are best
13. pistol scopes
14. shotgun scopes
15 Muzzle loader scopes

I thought I'd try to help your lobbying efforts out a little, but it doesn't appear to be working.
