Where ya been bud, were you able to see the gun rack they have for your chair? Iam working on a swivel to mount a gun so some one that has the use of only one arm can sit in a stand and be able to track a moveing deer, trying to keep it light and smooth in its movement, proto will look like something off the moon lander but it will function, ahhh punting my welding exper to work now LOL

I'm still here! I haven't been doing much - other than nursing my right shoulder. I pulled it out of place while doing my Spring maintenance on my ATV, about 2 weeks ago. I went turkey huntin' last Monday & Tuesday, and now my shoulder's really throbbing... All I saw was a hen on both days, but I heard gobbling all around me ~ just not in front of me.... I had a couple of Tom's coming to me, but 1 hung up & the other was chased off by some dogs.

No, I haven't been able to see the gun holder for my chair. Actually, I sorta forgot all about it since my shoulder is demanding all my attention, for now. I never did get that pdf file to load. Oh well....

I saw a swivel mount for a gun, but it was attached to a shooting bench. It sure got me to thinking, though! I know a guy who made a gun rest for his wheelchair, but it mounted to the left or right side of the chair - restricting shooting possibilities on the opposite side where the mount is. Now, if we could design one that mounted in the center.....!!!!!! Seems like we're on the same wavelength!

I have so many "irons in the fire"! For now, I think I need to focus on something to help me mount my ATV, tractor & riding mower. My shoulders are starting to "complain" whenever I try to manhandle myself getting on my equipment. If I can't get to where I'm going, there ain't no sense in worrying about any other projects.

I hear that, take a few days and do as little as you cand and let the shoulder rest a bit if you can, the one iam working on will swing in all diections and will allow the muzzl to have vertical movement also,. It has several ball joints that the person can set the tension ,will mount to the side but will also rotate to the other side ,so you can swing to left or right, clamp on mounts ,folds to a compact size ,only thing is if the critter comes from the rear you cant get on it till it moves to one of the sides, getting my brain heated up ! LOL ill show you the first one when i get it workable.

Well ~ I ended up going to the ER. The pain started getting worse & worse. X-rays didn't show anything, so now I'm scheduled for an MRI next Tuesday. I may have a ruptured bicep tendon ~ or a torn rotator cuff. It looks as though my turkey season just ended a bit prematurely.... Great timing, huh!?

Sounds like we have a few other things in common. The VA put 2 12" harrington rods in my back, in '79(to support my back while the bone fusion healed). They were supposed to be removed in 6-12 months. It didn't happen...

Finally, after fighting with them for 5 years, one of the doctors agreed to take them out. BUT ~ he said since they were in so long, my discs might have weakened. So-o-o, he'd have to remove the 12" rods and replace them with 18" rods - for 6-12 months. Hmmmm....that sounded familiar. I declined. I told the doctor he could be gone at any time, and my luck the next doctor would decide it was unnecessary surgery ~ again. Well, here I sit 23+ years later with them still in. I THANK GOD on a daily basis I haven't had any major problems with them....

Good luck to you, too

Well the biggest thing about the VA is you dont see the same doc twice ,, each one wants to do some thing else, kind of gets to me at times.

Hey Whackmaster! It's good to "see" you again, too. They've got me on steroids until my MRI appt. It's helping to dull the pain, but the side-effects are driving me nuts....

I'll keep y'all posted.
