I've never heard of it either, but your topic brought back some great memories for me,so I had to take a look.I was injured in a hunting accident as a kid,and my dad and I were big bird hunters(along with some of his friends). One of these men only had one arm,due to an accident that he was involved in while working on a railroad derailment clean-up operation. He was, without a doubt, the absolute best wing-shooter that I had ever seen,or have yet to see.He used to shoot skeet and trap in competition, but later devoted most of his time to helping the local sherrif's departments with gun safety and shooting programs for kids.I don't have the time or space to tell you what all this man did for me,but without him,I know I would not be hunting today.Just goes to show you..where there is a will, there is a way!
If anyone finds out more about the dove shoot, pass it on.See ya!

Never been, but I had a neighbor who went every year. He said it was a hoot. We drove through Olney in 2000 on our way to Seymour for opening weekend. They had banners out and all of the signs (hotel, restaurants, etc...) were welcoming the hunters. It is a huge deal in Olney. I knew what this was as soon as I saw the topic. I wish I had more info to pass along.

Try this, hope it helps.

Man,

Call the Olney Chamber of Commerce if you are really interested in attending or gettig more information.
They have hunters show up from all over the globe. The local chapter of FFA shags the birds and the Chamber sets up breakfast and lunch daily.
I hear that these one arm guys use pumps and can out shoot the best.
I understand that there are two classes; missing the arm below the elbow and missing the arm above the elbow.
Of course, all moneys collected are charitable.
I CANNOT WAIT TO GO THIS YEAR!!!
