new One arm shooting release
Hello all, I'm new to this forum but I've been a regular over at Archery Talk for some time now. I just wanted to share my shooting release with all of you. Some of you may know someone who could benifit from this type of release.
The release it's self is a scott itty bitty goose that has a modified strap that fits around my Rt Bicep/shoulder area. Attached to the release is a mounting bracket that holds a cammera shutter release cord right in front of the trigger. On the end of the shutter release cord is a bite tab. To shoot the arrow all you have to do is bite down on the "tab". When you bite down on the tab a pin comes out of the other end of the shutter release cord and strikes the release triger sending the arrow on it's way.
Many of you have read about or even seensomeone using a "mouth tab" I used to shoot with one of these and I have to say that with practice you can become very proficient with one, but they do have their down falls. The 2 major downfalls that I encountered were the excess weight of the tab on the bow string(esp. when it was wet) and the other was the drastic reduction in draw length. I've found that by using my new release I've avoided those 2 downfalls of the mouth tab. By switching to this new release I've lenthened my draw from 26in to 28 1/2 inches and with out the weight of the tab I've gained alot of arrow speed.
I'm sorry for rambeling on but I just wanted to let others know that there is a new release out there, it may not be for everyone, but it just might help get someone shooting again.

Thanks guys. If you happen to know of anyone that might be able to use such a release please tell them about this thread. Lets see if we can help some people get back in the woods bowhunting!!
