Aww cmon Hazcon, no need to put other teams bucks down.

You really think they have a chance to win anyway?

Someone told me team 3 has a couple state record bucks they are hunting. I would definately watch out.

Sorry if it sounded like I was putting his buck down - it is a fine deer and he should be proud.

86 1/8 inches just didn't sit right looking at that rack. I've got a 7 point rack on my wall that is thicker and taller that only scores 69 gross.

Keep in mind that pictures can be deceiving. Just doing what I thought that deer would score in my head I came up with right around 80", so I think we should accept the deer's score. Remember, this is all for fun and we're not going to get in an uproar over and inch or two either way.

Unless someone posts a picture of an 80" deer and says it scored 130", we're going to have to trust the scoring of the person who shot it.

That is pretty ignorant to come out and question him about his score. It will easily go 80 inches. Take it to PM or email so we don't have to read the negativity.

Here is what I guesstimate from looking at the pic.

14 inch mains
2 inch g1
5 inch g2
3 inch g3
3 inch h1
3 inch h2
2.5 inch h3
2 inch h4

34.5 inches x 2 = 69 inches + 14 inch spread = 83 inches

I have not done much scoring so I may have done something wrong. I used the instructions and scoring sheets that other people have done for me in the past to do this one. If someone in the know wants drop me an email and we can go over it. I would rather have any doubt removed than be questioned on it. Any help is accepted.

If someone read that as negative then I can't help that. Perhaps you are reading too much in to the statement.

Didn't say anything other than I'd be surprised. I'm not a professional scorer either. T_in_PA2 himself said he may have made a mistake and didn't fire back with any negative comments. Using the online calculator and what I figured to be forgiving numbers, I get 77" - again looking at the picture I'm suprised that it scores much over 60.

And just why can't I question his scoring anyway? Every one of these buck pics will get scrutinized in one way or another. Nobody has called foul - its a discussion forum.

Here is a scenario of a 60 inch 8 pointer.

11 inch mains
2 inch g1
2 inch g2
2 inch g3
2 inch h1
2 inch h2
2 inch h3
2 inch h4

equals 25 inches x 2 = 50 + 10 inch spread = 60 inches.

His buck is much larger than the pic I just painted here.
