Eliminating the Tag in the picture controversy.

Eliminating the Tag in the picture controversy.
I deleted/edited the rules to eliminate the tag in the picture controversy. It has been brought to my attention that for several reasons this is and will cause problems for members.
1) most states don't use the tag system and those that do don't necessarily apply to the head of the animal. I understand you can tag an animal in some states on the hind leg, front let, ear, antler and some tags are for the meat only and some for on your person etc....
2) Stupid tags in pictures....as I do too, I take all my photographs in the field at the site prior to tagging, gutting, dragging and skinning. I was however going to take my pictures, then tag and take one more for the contest. Eliminating the tag in the picture rule will aid everyone in their experience to remaining the fun part of this contest.
3) Even me as a skeptic have to give the benefit and have faith in our contestants to be honest, ethical and tag their animals.
4) You damn well down the line here someone is going to take an nice animal with beautiful pictures and forget the tag in the pic. We might as well eliminate that headache now and forgo all the bad blood that will happen with the controversy of eliminating someones deer.
We will however be very strict on the bow in the picture rule. From this post forward any animal without a bow in the picture will not be a legal entry into the contest. The bow, the deer and yourself.
Now I want everyone's opinion on this decision, the majority will rule to whether or not to reverse this decision. Especially those of team captains and moderators.

RE: Eliminating the Tag in the picture controversy.
Sounds good to me. Like you, I usually don't tag my animals before taking pictures and cleaning too. And when I shoot the new PA record this year I'm definatley not poking a hole in his ear for a tag.
