#1

Just curious, who's hunting already, and have you been seeing anything? If you're not hunting yet, when is your opening day? I've just got a couple days.....Sept 18 here in Minnesota!
Keep those reports and stories comming......and GOOD LUCK!

My season started here last sat-09-11-04 After being on the stand no longer than 15min I looked back the way i came in and there stood a small buck maby a yr 1- 1/2 old how he got there beats me? the ground here was damp i guess thats why i could not here him coming. But as he walked closer i could tell he was not what i wanted to shoot. He was a small 8 point so i let him walk! hoping to see something else bigger but i did not. About 15-20min went by when i looked up and there stood a nice fat doe
Well i like deer meat SO!
I put an arrow right behind her shoulder at about 25 yrds she olny ran 30-40yrds before pilling up
I was happy! opening day and it was only 7:47 and i already had a deer on the ground. I sat back down and waited for about 2 more hrs to see if something else would come by but the only thing i saw was another doe that i let walk bye at 15yrds and did not see anything else that day! I went back sunday and only saw two more doe`s. All in all it was not bad. I think i will see my best bucks around nov-dec But you never no? good luck!

Sept. 11, was my first day. Got busted ON MY WAY to the stand![:@]Only the first day though.
Work, family, and a slight back injury has kept me outta the woods since then. If Ivan gives us a break, I'll be back on stand Sat. morning. Hope the rest of the team is having better luck than me.[&o]

Like Rob........Oct. 2nd here as well.
I haven't been seeing ANYTHING as I'm staying away from my areas until it's go time. The areas are sensitive and impossible to glass from a distance.
Just trusting common sense and pre-season scouting.

Kentucky's season opened Sept. 4 but it has been too hot to hunt much. I have been a few times & have seen some nice 100 class bucks but I am holding out for 150+ class or better for now. I have my eyes set on a 18 pointer that's 6 1/2 yrs or older. He will go 180+.
