For those of us who have not contributed to our team score.........there is still hope. My ex-brother-in-law and still friend shot a real nice 14 point buck yesterday afternoon. I am glad for him as its by far his best buck ever, but I sort of have mixed emotions. I worked hard to gain permission to hunt a property this year and was told by the landowner I could take someone with me, but that they could not hunt there on their own unless they asked themselves. He went by himself yesterday afternoon unbeknownst to me.:eek:

Anyway, gonna try it this morning in another area, perhaps a good buck will show up and I can help keep the lead. Good luck to the rest of you till the end of your season.:)

Well guys, our season just ended and it sadens me to say that I was unable to contribute to the final figure. Although I did miss a 6 pointer that would have helped I just couldn't bring myself to harvest a smaller buck. I am sorry for not contributing but I tried my damndest to get one. The big bucks never really showed up and the one I have been hunting for two years now completely disappeared and has not been seen since ML season.

O2 don't worry about it. I had a hard time shooting my 8 point. If we fall out of the lead, I can put you up in my spot one morning and you can shoot one out of there.

Our team reminds me of the PISTONS... No real BIG name Players or Heros, just ALOT of TEAM effort. And we played like a TEAM.. NO real BIG ONES, except for TRIBAL. We pulled together and played like the pistons did, as a TEAM..

That will be nice if we end up wrapping this up. It has been fun, I also noticed our Elite 8 teams thread has the most hits also. Everyone wants to know who the ringers are that made up the potential contenders for this years crown. Very well done team. ANd that means everyone on the team. Everyone showed great support!

It ain't over till the "fat lady sings".[&:] Personally, I've done very little bowhunting the last month or so, mostly due to the weather. I plan on going out as much as possible this last weekend and will be treading water and mud it seems. [&:]I have some high ground to take a chance on yet, perhaps a nice buck is keeping some does company on this one particular wooded hill that borders a weedpatch. Also, a nearby State Conservation area is receiving little pressure at this time. Anyway, again congrats to all the team members of Team 8 for doing a tremendous job!!:)

I think we might pull this one off as well. Has anyone heard of anything about prizes for the winners? I heard some rumblings early on and was wondering if anyone else heard anything.

Lefty i haven`t heard anything on prizes. But just wondering how many teams are still hunting? I know alabama season ends jan-31 but i don`t know about any other`s?

I think there are some seasons that go until 2/15, as for people still hunting I dont know but I would imagine the contest lasts until all bow seasons are over.

It was a fun year and a great team effort. There was a prize mentioned on HNI's thread of $100 gift certificate for each team member. Keep your fingers crossed.

You guys think my sig is completely to big? I just thought I could show people you can harvest nice deer without paying a cent other than your own expenses. I hope people dont think its a brag board. I dont think I am better than anyone but I may spend more time preparing than alot of people. Anyway hope you think its o.k..

I know you didn't ask for my opinion but.... I am gonna give it anyhow[8D]

I like the sig it looks good. What I would change is move the BowTech and Tribal logos down farther and cut off an inch or two of the black at the top. It looks a little bottom heavy to me.

Plus the 4th pic over from the left has hard edges around it and the others dont.

Here is what I would do if I were you. I would get rid of all of the background noise and clean up around the pics.

I tried to clean it up for you but I couldn't do anything with the forth pic over from the lefts right antler. The pic was super blurry when I enlarged it to clean up around the tines.

Thanks for the opinion guys, just did not want anyone to think I was high on myself.
I am however very proud of the animals I have harvested. Buckeyebuck thanks for the tip I went back and played a while made several different sigs. Do you think this one is better?

I like the looks of this one the best.



But I like the dimensions of this one the best (below). I don't like the size of the above one because you have to scrool the page to the right to read the post. If you know what I am saying.

I hope so gutshot, but the way my season went, I learned that there is NO guarantee until its over. A day doesn't go by where I don't think of that 5x5 that had about 160" of mass on its head and at 20 yrds I blew it. Not to mention 2 other shots at descent bucks which I blew also. Sometimes cold weather bowhunting in a frozen crunchey climber is tough to get a shot off, but I really can't blame it on that, but it was down right cold.
Keep your fingers crossed guys and congradulation to you guys who came through for the team and thanks for all the effort you other guys put forth also. ;) Bobby
