How often do you grease your rail and track and what do you use?

I use rail lube for the rails and string wax for the string. When I wax the string every 10-12 shots I will hit up the rail. Only takes another couple seconds to do and both lube and wax are relatively cheap for a tube.

Can't tell you who makes it as it just says rail lube on the side of a plain white tube. Picked it up at the local outfitter store and the wax is made by a local bow maker.

I guess it pays to watch the DVD I got with it. The manufacturer suggest that you only was the string serving. If you get a build up on the rail simply wipe the wax off with a bit of WD-40 on a cloth. No lube or wax is recommended for the rail.

Bronko it was the same with mine - that was recommended too - no rail lube, But talking to the dealer and then shooting at his range he had me try a bit of the brand Called Scorpion Venom Lube (Small tube in a lip balm applicator) - on my rail and I have absolutely no wax buildup at all. It keeps the rail slick as 'snot'! The shots seem much cleaner and I like that far better.
And there is no perceived odor I can tell. Google it.

After each hunt I carefully clean the rail and string to eliminate as much abrasives I might have picked up while in the field such as dust. Then relube as directed on the Sorpion product.

Have seen the rail lube you guys mentioned but never used it, sounds like may look into it when my tube needs replacing.

That's what I understand as well. If one feels the need to lube the rail the 100% silicone spray is some slick stuff and dries as well.

But on my excal I just keep the string and serving well waxed and when the rail gets wax buildup I just clean it with WD-40 as mentioned.
