Really good advice here. What's your budget? Entry level means different things to different folks. In any case give Dave at Wyvern a call. He'll steer you straight.

id also look on craigslist or facebook selling pages. I picked up a sweet excalibur magnum crossbow 2 years ago, with cocking device (not the rope but the actual unit you hook to the back stock and crank), quiver scope and target for $350....probably was close to 1000 new. Any used excalibur, tenpoint, etc would probably be better than an entry level xbow...just have to look them over and judge the wear.

johnl:
Sorry just had a bad day! You might want to look at ArcheryTalk's crossbow forum's trading post; also at Excalbur's forum and the trading post section. Quite a few goo used top of the line crossbows for sale

Also look at Crossbow Nation and check out their forums. I called Dave when I bought my crossbow and he helped me make up my mind between two I was looking at. He spent about 30 minutes on the phone with me and has always answered my emails.
