Which Crossbow
I'm thinking of taking the plunge and trying to decide between the X-Caliber Equinox or the Horton Vison 175.
Does anybody have any experience with either or? I'd like to hear your comments regarding both crossbows.
Thanks....Ed

Beyond a shadow of a doubt the Excalibur is head and shoulders above the Horton Do yourself a favor and make a phone call to David at Wyvern Creations. 603-659-3575. He will answer all your questions , help you chose the best bow for you , all with no pressure to buy from him. It will be the best phone call you ever can make

I had an Emax, same platform as Enox [225#] I much prefer the Exocet at 200#. Since I use range compensating scopes and a range finder, I lost my 'need for speed'.
My 'Max was hard on center servings and wore me out when I was burning arrows.
I'd wait a week or so for the AQTA show when all the new stuff get's shown.................
Edit: I just put together a 175# Phoenix I'm taking hog hunting at the end of the month w/ peep and pin. Something more challenging, lol.

I just read a post of his on AT, he'll be closed for the ATA after this w/e. He's a great guy to deal w/ and sells a lot of different xbows.
So is Danny Miller, USA warranty rep for Excal. He pretty much only handles Excals, but often has deals on trade ups or downs. He'll also be at the ATA, which starts the 10th I think.
Danny only does stuff on the phone, no web site. [740] 483-2312. You could probably still catch either one today...............[01/07/12]

both are good xbows with great track records. no phone call to saleman is gonna help you decide fit and feel. you need to go to a shop and try and hold a few. the new models will be out soon. id wait another 2 or 3 months.
