Only time i ever remember one. They had us in with regular Bow Forum. That said only a couple ppl would even talk to me, twas hard feelings of CB users allowed by other elitest members. So i never joined another contest here. I go else where & join with those of my style of Bowhunting

I think Crossbow Nation was running one with some other forums last year. I don't know exactly how it worked, but I think they had teams. Sounded like a fair amount of fun.

Crossbows are welcome in the bowhunting contest. While there might be a person here or there on the teams that doesn't like crossbows, most folks don't care.

Don't worry about the narrow view folks. Just do your thing and have fun.

We've discouraged having a separate crossbow contest just because it's more divisive rather than building a 'community' as we'd like to see.

I signed up for contest,
I had alot of fun and met some new friends in different states this past spring turkey contest.

I shoot,Recurve,Compound bow,And Crossbow.
They r all in the bow family.
And makes us all archers.
crossbows, and longbows have been around for thousands of yrs.
The compound is the new comer.
U will always have the narrow minded ones in all aspects of life.
Like sum longbow or recurve hunters would say compounds are cheating!
And there are sum compound hunters that say x-bows r cheating etc.
Obviously they never used one to make such a claim,LOL.
Like trying to take a shot at game approaching from behind the tree ur in,With a crossbow cant be done but with a regular bow u can cause limbs wont hit ur tree!
And the (noise factor)where its one shot with x-bows!
Compounds can be so quiet if u miss,
U can quickly reload and get off another shot before the game knows whats goin on,Most of the time.
And ur longbows and recurves,no mechanical failures that can go wrong,or have to be constantly checked for accuracy like sights, peep, etc, etc. etc.
They all have thier advantages and disadvantages. Its all personnel prefference!
We are all archers and must stick together..
Sign up have sum fun...
