Tried a bunch. Slicks work for me. Fly best with a high FOC arrow (18-20%) and 2" Blazer vanes. They have a cut on contact Razor Trick that looks good and even a 175 gr head meant for crossbow arrows with lower FOC. http://www.slicktrick.net/

Default muzzy

I have used Muzzy fixed blade 100grn. For a very long time now and have yet to loose an animal that I placed even a decent shot into. I've been hunting with a bow since the age of 8 (40+ years) and I will most likely use them a lot longer. I've tried the mechanical heads and had better than average luck with them, but if you don't pass through the blood trail sometimes got a little hard to find. If you tune your bow to shoot fixed blade as well as it does tips then you won't have to reset your sights. I shoot my muzzys off the same settings as my field points. Good luck and good hunting

Slick Tricks for me. I may give a spit-fire a chance on a late doe this season.

I'm just hesitant to go away from proven equipment.

Outa Horton legend XT175 im shootin a rage 2blade or a spitfire. I cant get it to stabalize a fixed blade. Both heads have proved more than sufficient for me ive brought home venison with em every yr. If I had 2 pick i'd go rage 2 blade.
