Default Pros and cons

Trying to decide between the Horton Team Realtree and Barnett Penatrator. The Horton comes with the three red dot site which I am sure is good for close range. The Barnett comes with 4x32 scope. They are both priced just under 500. I would like some insight or opinions from veteran xbow hunters on these brands and scope or red dot.
Thanks in advance.

even though i never had a problem with my barnett, beware from alot of what i hear. other then that i think you'll like the red dot scope better. they make it easier in low light conditions. also be sure to shoot both(maybe even other brands/models) because they all are dif. in the way they feel,shoot,weigh,etc...

Won't give advice on the two mentioned a I don't shoot either. My Parkers and Excals have both performed well, however. As for sight, have a look at a decent scope (like Hawke), magnification gives a more precise sight picture. Red dots are ok in low light but can be hard to see in bright light. Own and use both but the scopes are on my hunting bows.

i have a Horton Teamrealtree,, I love it, have had it 3 months I shoot it every weekend, I have the red dot scope version. This thing is super accurate. I can't shoot more than twice at the same bullseye because I've broken several arrows with it. I have thought about putting a Hawke brand scope on it but it shoots great stock so I don't really see the need in messing with it. The scope had 12 brightness settings 1 is dim but you can see easily in low light and 12 is very bright- no problem seeing it during the day. I almost bought a barnett but liked the feel of the Horton.
