Today I got busted by a 12 point or better. I
co?ked my CB at my truck, got to my tree and put my stand on the tree. Was tieing my string on my CB to pull it up with and heard something comming. From up out of the creek bed here he came, I tryed to get a arrow out and put it in but he saw me and stoped. My heart was going 100 miles a hour. He looked and me and I at him, I'm still trying to get a arrow in then he's gone. He was 11 yards form me with only his neck and head showing. Wish I had left work a hr early. Will never forget something like that.

That's why they call it hunting, not gathering or, equally silly, harvesting.

i'm sure thats happened to the best of hunters. doesn't sound like you did anything wrong at all. so don't be hard on yourself or have any regrets or keep pondering "i should have..." i know you won't ever forget this and it s**** being caught off guard. one day you'll look back and laugh about it. just be happpy that you got to see it and know that it's there in the area your hunting. i'm sure you'll get another look/chance at him-knowing is half the battle!!! goodluck
