What Crossbow?
My dad is going to start using a crossbow due to a disablity. I hunted with one for a year after I dislocated/broke my arm but know little about them. I had a horton team realtree. I have heard nothing bad about barrnets but was wonder your take on that. So any advice on a good crossbow around the $600 range. Also if any of you have a good one for sale let me know. I have a open mind about this like I said know nothing about the good or bad ones

Don't want to sound rude but. . buy just about anything but a Barnett crossbow . .Most people would recommend a Ten Point or Excalibur. There Are LOTS of posts about Barnett's and their problems. Out of 40+ people who voted (couple posts down http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/cros...rand-xbow.html ) there has not been 1 vote for the Barnett. Personally I own 2 Excalibur's, the oldest is 20+ years old.

Do call Dave, very knowledgeable and willing to share. Crossbows are quite subject to personal taste and limitations. However, if I were choosing from one of my the 5 bows I have or presently own, it would me a medium weight recurve like the Phoenix. Most trouble free, accurate, durable, easy to maintain bow I have owned to date.

Its doesn't exist mate, they used it in the advert for the start but never incorporated it into the game, The Only ranged weapon you can get and use are the throwing knives. Sorry for the let down

If you can wait a month or so, you might see a lot more mfgs. I just received my Archery Business Mag and I think it has 2-3 new companies. I will see them at the ATA show next month, also one claims to have found a way to make the xbow whisper quiet!
