Barnett crossbows are garbage. At the very least I can testify that the quad 400 is cheap made piece of junk with an even worse piece of junk "scope". Stay away! Ive now got a parker thunderhawk and its what a crossbow should be.

I paid $169.99 for a re-manufactured Wildcat C6 for a back-up bow. Went together easy, is shooting decent groups and makes more than the advertised speed with 400 gr arrows and 315 fps with BEEs @ 431 grs, is easy to cock and fairly light to carry.
Best deal on a deer capable bow since my Hoyt Gamegetter 2 in the early 80s.

The Barnett Recuit Recurve is my first crossbow and it's excellent. I shoot it here in my basement. It's good practice for me and it makes no noise. It has a neat scope on it. These crossbows are cool.
I went to a store that sells them today to get more arrows and look at another one.

Barnett is a Poor choice
I have a Barnett Revolution. The limbs cracked twice. Once they fixed it the next they didn't. They told me they would give me 20% off one of their other products. I told them I would just buy a Ten Point and I did. I have had no trouble with my Ten Point or with their customer service.

I am on my third Barnett crossbow and have had no problems with any of them. If you take care of them and treat them as they should be and not throw them in the back of your truck or drop them from your tree stand you won't have any problems.
Those that have problems would probably have problems driving a tank too.

Absolutely nothing. Gave the first one to my son. The second, a Jackal I still have and is for sale. Last one is a reverse draw for better balance due to bad shoulders. Put a new string on the Jackal after 2 seasons. Normal maintenance.
