I have a Barnett Wildcat C5. The bolts that came with it had 125 gr. tips. I would like to shoot 100gr broadheads. Is 100 gr. enough? I have heard a lot of people shooting 125 to 150 gr. Also how far will I be able to shoot and kill a deer with my bow and 100 gr?

100 grains will be plenty as long as they do not drop your arrow weight below the manufacturers recommendations. As far as how far, that is up to you. That will depend on how good you can shoot your bow a farther distances and how well your broad heads group. You should be able to achieve 40 yard accuracy fairly easy. Any further than that, and deer have plenty of time to react. The mood of the deer should be a factor also when deciding on your shot distance. I would not shoot at a nervous deer at 40 yards with any bow.
