I am still looking for a good target butt for my crossbow. I tried to make one with compressed cardboard but no matter how tight I compress the stack my arrows still zip through. All I get done is repair the fletch.

I solved my target backstop problem this morning. I bought a Morrell yellow Jacket-Crossbow target this morning. After a total comedy of errors I finally got a shot off just before dark. I could not find my shooting sticks. Finally remembered they were in my turkey blind. I then got all set up to shoot but had forgot to take the caps off my red dot, duh. Took them off and turned the red dot on and could barely see the dots, battery was near dead. Went looking for my spare battery but have yet to find it. Stole the battery from another red dot and finally got 1 shot off just before dark. Guess it must have been amateur night with that much trouble. Oh well I am ready for tomorrow.

Good targets, I shoot at 2 of em. Stop my 360 fps Cyclone's arrows. One problem: should it get wet, arrow removal gets harder. Be sure to spray the front several inches of your arrows with silicone spray like Jig A Loo (Home Depot or car parts stores) or CRS (Wal*Mart). Both go on wet but dry quickly leaving slick film (great for lubing decks too). Enjoy.
