My first one was a Parker Magnum, it was a very good shooting bow and well made. I have since picked up a Ten Point Phantom and its like going from a Pinto to a Cadillac ... I suggest you buy ALL your budget will allow when selecting a CB because there are some major differences ...

I would look at BowTech! The Strykeforce is a fantastic bow for the money, TenPoint has some great bows as well as Excalibur and Parker. The saying, You get what you pay for; is very true with crossbows. Choosing a CB from one of those manufacturers would be a good decision.
The Problem with this is that the Stryker is illegal in Michigan. Michigan set a 350 fps limit.

Jays in Clare and Gaylord seem to have a good selection check them out.

if you dont shoot much, the BARNETT IS FINE.

if you shoot somewhat more, horton others are fine.

if you shoot a lot,the excaliber IS WAY TO GO.

i am no expert only what i see and read.

i have horton and my limbs were split from just sitting for 9 years.

i like it for accuratcy but when something breaks, you better have shop close.
