Apparently Excal thought so. You can probably rig something up, just be careful it doesn't slip and you will have to fight the end loops through those 2" loops once they are stretched by limb pressure.

Think Danny Miller only gets $12-$14 for a safe, adj, factory one, the "A" answer, imo.

you can also use just the cord and cinch loop each side. the plastic with holes is just faster to slide on & off. i have the blue set and have used them for many years. not worried about them breaking, usually abit of common sense goes a long way in using them correctly.

The blue ones are the ones that are known for breaking. After mine broke (it was a blue one)I could clearly see where the plastic had developed cracks. I would look it over real closely. The replacement I got from Dan Miller is made of black plastic.

It can be made of just plain rope. The trick is to get the end loops just big enough to get the string out but small enough so the don't slip forward making bending the bow enough to remove the string difficult. I did it but it was not worth the effort. 'Blocky end things' work better.
