Default Buy a crossbow now? or wait and get a 2009?

I'm about to buy my first crossbow, but i've noticed some talk about the 09's coming out soon. Like i dunno if its like a car they upgrade the models? or do they just maybe change the camo look?

Depends on the bow...Honestly, there are a few new designs and a few that will just have a new paint job and a higher price tag. There are a few leftover deals out there on some models, and quite a few are not changing at all, but IMO if you do not "need" a bow right now, you may find one of the new ones would be just the ticket and it kinda bites if you spend money now and then find if you waited just what you wanted is now available.

I believe the "big" change is going to be a pistol grip added to the 175 lb Phoenix as well as 2 other trick cosmetic stuff.
Worth it? Donno. The Vortex will probably be more expensive in '09 and no difference. I would buy this years because you'd probably get it at a better price and it will be functionally the same bow. You could always wait and see.

Some 2009 models are all ready out. I suggest you call David at Wyvern: 603-659-0575 He is a great person and a wealth of knowledge. He can give you answers to all your questions and help you make the correct decision!

Most will kill a deer fine, have good speed, and some great sights are available. Not sure what we will see in 09 which is better. Surely there will be something, but there are many 08 models which should make you happy.
