RE: 1st Buck w/Parker Terminator
Congrats
You terminated him with a terminator I would say blade deflection |
RE: 1st Buck w/Parker Terminator
Congrats. I have the parker buckbuster 150 and use the same arrows that you shot your deer with. I have takend 3 so far this year, all three were complete pass throughs. I did have one arrow that snapped 2" before the vanes, but there was an entry and exit hole on the deer. I never found the other half of the arrow with the broadhead. I shoot muzzy 4 blade 100G. They group well, but impact different than field points. I just made sure to sight in with the broadheads. The muzzys always leave a great blood trail and all deer have fell within 50 yards. I went with muzzies due the fact that they never let me down with my comound bow over many years. For some reason I just feel better about knowing tht regardless of what happens, the muzzy's will punch through and inflict some serious damage.

Congrats on the deer!
I've had a similar experience- shot at an 8-pointer standing broadside at 15 yards. At the sound of my horton shooting, he must have spun away from me- the shot went in the paunch at a sharpe angle and exited the ribcage- looked like I had shot from a severe quartering-away angle, but when I pulled the trigger he was broadside! Go figure. The arrow could have deflected on a bone, too. |
RE: 1st Buck w/Parker Terminator
I'll bet it has something to do with the fact that you were using expanding heads;)
I tryed them (rage) and was not impressed... went back to tryed and true Muzzy's!!!! |
