Default hunting broadheads

I am so tired of my mechanicals gum band breaking in the woods. Constantly taking them in and out of the quiver. I shoot the Tekan but can't get a replacement retaining band. What fixed blade heads are out there that have a good history?

Slick Tricks. But I imagine other smallish, 4 bladed, sharp broadhead. Hear they have a new one (Razor?) that's looks good. BTW NAP makes Spitfires=expandible but no bands.

Can the two blades with bleeders buzzcuts by Magnus be used in a crossbow?

Thanks
Jake

You can't beat Slick tricks for a fixed blade head.

I hear good things about the slick tricks
i use the G5 Montec,great flight,resharpenable,I like them
I am also going to try a Magnus 2 blade (no bleeder) and the stinger (With bleeder) all in 100 grn.

I like the look of the Hellrazor also.

i have tried many mechanicals, and have 100% satisfaction with NAP's Scorpion XP 100grain. I also slip on two rubber rings just for that reason that you stated, and sometimes i field check my blades to maked sure the open easy and i will cut the ring, well now i have a backup. I have filled many tags in Ohio with that broadhead. Last year i shot 250# buck from a treestand, with the arrow entering in front of the white throat patch and exiting through the center/sternum of the chest.........the arrow was on the ground in 40 yards. I use the same tip on my compound........it is a tough little broadhead, but true placement is everything, along with never reusing the same blades twice. You want a fast clean slice through the arteries/veins to prevent/slow downclotting.

When I used to shoot mechs.I got tired of the bands rotting, went to my
dentist and got some of the bands they use on kids teeth, last a lot
longer and they seem to slide easier on the broadhead, just a thought.

I went with Muzzy three blade BHs. I don't like mechanicals either. They have too many moving parts and that will lend itself to failure, at least in my book.
