Bohning blazers

Has anyone used Bohning blazers on their bolts and if so, how well do they work with fixed and mechanical broadheads?

:D I think you will find the consensus of opinions that they work well w/ some other factors considered like a higher FOC and small profile bheads like Slick Tricks or any mechanicals. I have some on 431 gr GT's about 19% FOC and they fly like darts. I didn't get the same poi w/ bheads and field tips on my initial tests, but after reading posts from others, namely "Cossack", I'm going to re-test this summer. There's a guy on AT named "Moonkryket" that uses them exclusively out of a plethoria of xbows, you might want to check w/ him, nice guy.

I've just reciently tried them.
In the short distance I shoot (about 20 yards), there's not a whole lot of difference...other than they are a lot more solid. By that I mean, they don't ripple and make noise while in the air. Yes...you can hear a long fletching out of a fast CB in the quiet of a long hallway in my house.
Anyway...this tells me that they are flying straighter and faster. Much less wind resistance.

Thanks for all the replies and info. I think I'll have to give them a try. I've been shooting them for about a year with my Mathews bow and love them.

Those arrows are beautiful Scott!
Even the wraps start and stop on the same point of the shaft, that is above and beyond, love it!:D

Greywolfs attention to detail is incredible, each wrap is placed on the same place, each vane, they all weigh within a grn or 2,they fly great,
I want to see what they look like with red on them.
I sent him a PM to check in on him,I know he hes been down a while, but havent heard back yet.
