I have the Vortex and it is a fine CB! I love shooting it. I also have two Horton's and they have been fine CB's also. Higher end Horton's are just fine IMO, but I enjoy my Excal much better.

if my horton would have way of relaxing the limbs and remove string at home,i would say it would be a very nice all around bow.
it does feel and shoot great and would most likely handle good in treestand which i have not tried.

but you cant do that and i dont like that.

bass pro shop is letting you shoot many types of bows now, thats what i would do but i would go by recommendations above as they all know their stuff on crossbows...

ok, i give,whats that?

you cock your Horton, put that on and then uncock it to change string. No I don't know who makes or sells them, we make stuff like that for ourselves here in Ar.

if you would patent that, you would make a lot of money.
no doubt about that.

Lol, I tried to sell the idea to 10 pt via Randy in May of 06 at Bass Pro in Springfield, Mo. before this one came out. They don't work as well if at all on split limb bows. I'm not going to get into details here, but can tell you Randy Woods is a man of his word, 10pt has a bargain in him.

Edited to add: I didn't make the one in the pic, Sproul, Matthias 72 on the Italian site posted it somewhere and fwded the pic to meat my request. The one I made was out of red oak blocks off my table saw and an old bow string. I doubt many people would buy one cause one look and you can make your own in short order, lol. Send me a dollar, Sproul, lol
