Crossbow four wheeler mount
#1
Hey guys, I am working at a project for an engineering class. I am making a mount to mount a crossbow to a four-wheeler rack. It will work like a gun mount, only positioned for a crossbow. I need an idea of how well this product would sell. It would be all Steel contruction with rubber buffers to protect the bow.If this product became marketable would you buy it? and if so, for how much?.... Also has anyone ever seen a product like this out there? We did patent searches and could find nothing. Thanks for the help!!!!

What I did for my crossbow is purchase the U-Clamp style gun holders (a pair) which clamp onto the bike rack. You know the ones that have rubberized feather feelers on the inside of the U-Clamp which grip the stock and also cussion it. Worked great but I did not use it much for the crossbow on a bike, they are actually now mounted onto my treestands to hold the bow while in the stand.
BTW, the holders I got only cost $30 and are redally available at most outdoor stores.
Hope this helps you.

couldn't find any either, didn't like gun type, cobbled some up out of wood, one for the back and then when carrying a passenger, needed one for the front. ugly but functional, good luck, doubt I would buy one now, fwiw.

I see where they might have a market for them. For I know, last year, I had hellhauling my crossbow in the case, and God help me, if my wife went bow hunting also. So this year, I went out and purchased me a Kubota RTV utility vehicle. Mainly for the reason I had so much trouble with the crossbows and needed somewhere to put my wife !!!!!!!!

A frameing system for a hard case would be nice.I have to have mine in a case when on ATV,UTV or Trk.A outer frame would be nice, one that attaches to the hardcase or one that the case could slide into with differant mount options.Ive thought about makeing a cage type out of 3/16 round steel that I could slide the butt end of the case in and use Bungies to hold it in but just havent had time to do it.I would mount it Vert or at a 45deg angle with a Bipod type system for the 45deg mount....Vert for UTV's and 45deg for ATV's.
