Default CROSSBOW HARVEST

While sitting in a ground blind Friday morning with my nephew, I decided to try some rattling. I rattled for about 30 seconds or so and the rubber band came off of my rattle box. I fiddled with it for a few seconds and then gave another 15-20 seconds of rattling. I looked up and there he was about 40 yds from us. I never saw him move, just saw that he was there. I readied my crossbow and shot. I hit him in the spine and put him right down. This is the second buck that I've ever been able to rattle in. If you've never tried it, you'll feel like an idiot the first time, but when it works.... IT WORKS!!!!!

I've been a member for several years, but I don't post a whole lot. I appreciate the warm welcome though.

I only get a response from rattling far and few. But when it does it is great! I try not to do it to much, I think it is something you can over do in a hurry. But when they come in swinging there head and grunting, or you see them moving away and they stop on a dime and come right in, it is a great feeling! Congrats on your Harvest, and feel free to post some more, A good group of guys here!!

I never asked him, but considering I was in a ground blind he couldn't see it anyway.

Yeah the one side is more defined than the other.

Very cool, I've never whacked one like that. Some day. A good rack has either great mass or different and interesting.
