what a blessing...
I amstill pumpedthat I dropped my first buck ever with mycrossbow! The last deer I shot was during gun season with my dad 17 years ago. 5x3 non-typical with 5 little stubs at the base of the main beams to make a 13 pointer.
Used a Rage 2 blade broadhead at 30 yards and hitthe shoulder to pierce both lungs. The buck trotted off about 75 yards, stopped and started bleeding pretty good. He dropped 25 yards later.

Looks like you got the pic thing figured out!! That is a nice looking buck! I like the little kickers at the base also! Congrats on a unique and fine looking deer!! What CB where you using? Ground or tree stand?

Took him down with a Ten Point Pro Elite HP. The double safety feature built into the bow is great. I had the main safe off before the buck got close. I had a total newb mistake though. When I depressed the forestock safety to make the shot the shot, I didn't realize my thumb was just barely touching the rail. Needless to say I got a little stinger from the trajectory.
Of course I didn't feel a thing at first..

WTG hound. Good looking buck and congrats on your choice of cb. I also shoot a ten point. Glad you finally got yourself another deer since it's been 17 yrs. WOW. That's a while of a dry spell. LOL Now you can just keep em coming each year.
