Default well, I finally joined the club

I graduated from shooting squirrels in my yard and got me a big old doe last night, my first one with a crossbow, I did push the shot a little bit yardage-wise but it all worked out, and after sitting in the rain for almost 4 hours I wasnt going to pass it up

no pictures though...

I cant believe how the deer in my areaseemed to just disappeared...
I've been doing alot of scouting and have seen little to no deer sign anywhere, even in all the areas of, usually, high activity... I've been hearing first and second hand that alot of guys in the area have been saying the same thing

but maybe now that the job I'm on has kind of settled down and all the overtime has dropped down(funny how that always seems to happenaround prime hunting time)I can find a little more time to get out more

Did you get a pass through with the phoenix at a longer range? Just curious since it is the smaller of Excals, some info for guys that may be trying to make a decision. Again, congrats to ya!!

Congrats on you first xbow kill. We have the same problem with where
have all the deer gone, here in Arkansas. Most every one feeds corn here
and all of sudden there gone, gone to eating there favorate food, acorns.
I also just had my 1st and 2nd xbow kills and it was great. Keep shootin.

CONGRATS, SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAD FUN EVEN IN THE RAIN. I'M BRAND NEW TO THE XBOW EXPERIENCE AND AM LOOKING FORWARD TO MY FIRST. SEND A LITTLE OF YOUR LUCK MY WAY.
OFF TO THE STAND.
