I envy you grndhntr, going after Pronghorns this year. Get one and post some pic's! I have shot 15 shots this morning, all my shoulder could stand on cocking CB. DNK, i don't think the serving is going to make it past another 60 shots. Its fraying more and more, don't want to start rubbing on the string. I have shot 520 times and 30 more will make 550. I will pull string off to be reserved. Its stopped stretching around the 475 shot area.[8D]

I got to shoot this morning. First time in a week, shot 25 times. My red 2213 hit the target so hard it put a slight bend on tailend of arrow. Well thats another one to bite the dust. My CB just shoots too fast and those thin arrows can't handle the stress.

Smoke, glad to hear you can shoot again. Maybe try shooting big heavy bolts like me (2219s). They don't bend quite as easily. Unfortunately, my pronghorn chasing plans have fallen through. I should be up there this week, but the guy that was going to show me his area and hunt it with me had trouble getting time off work and that particular area didn't have any leftover doe tags that we were planning on getting. We didn't have the time to scout out a new area (or rather, he didn't want to) so I bought another elk tag (cow) for here in Colorado that starts Sept. 1. Now I have to wait a couple more weeks to chase meat.

Sorry to hear the Pronghorn fell thru, if'en yer like me that was a blow. Glad to hear ya got another elk tag, great freezer meat. I have shot 580 times and just abit over a month left to go. My left shoulder makes and audible pop every time i use my rope cocker amd is sore. It pains me to raise it over my head. I have 9 shafts made up with 2013's inside the 2213's. They weigh 558.5 grs. and are .026 thick! I do have my logs, 2219's fer backups.

WOW, I thought a shaft inside a shaft would weigh more than that. Sounds like you have two different logs there. My left shoulder (bow arm when I shoot trad. archery) is giving me trouble too, but only when I try to shoot my longbow too much (like more than 10 shots :^). It doesn't hurt when I pull 150# of crossbow straight up though.
