RE: I have a couple questions...
ORIGINAL: awshucks I'd also check the tiller w/ framing square on rail checking satring both ways. A minor amt is normal and would cause more pressure on one side of arrow at nock. And to save band width, lol, I have no idea how to adjust it, would be a call to Danny M I checked that already actually, I did it withmy bow square instead of a 2ft square but it showed it was dead on, or close enough that it wasnt noticable with the human eye anyway, Idont howa person wouldtune that out of a crossbow either, the only way I could see to do itwould be to shim a limb away from the riser at the bolt until things came into square, other than that I have no idea... I havent called Danny Miller yet but I plan to, besides the marks on the arrows I have a few other questions for him anyway ORIGINAL: awshucks One thing I did notice on the Paradox I had and was warned about by Danny Miller was the riser stuck up a tad above the rail. I filed the top of rail cut out [for riser] down a few thousandths and it went away. Be the first thing I'd check if I was looking for a rub problem. I think at this point I'mgoing to writethose marksoff as normal wear and just keep an eye on it, I went over the entire thing and couldnt find anything suspicious that would cause it, my only idea would be that they were rubbing on the retaining arm, I was only shooting two arrows and it does have a fairly rough finish on it andthe undersidemay have been a little abrasive until the coating was worn down and"broken in", theres a few holes in that theory too but right now its the only thing I can see... I may just be overreacting to a normal occuranceand picking thing apart too, I do that quite often unfortunately, I'm the type of person that has to know exactly how everything works, be able to do everything myselfand have everything working flawlessly or I tend to not be happy about it... Igot my scope mount andhave my scope mounted on it now and have a little sighting in to do so I'm just going to keep an eye on the "marks on the arrows" situation while I'm sighting it in and see if it keeps getting worse and then take it from there |
