RE: Cocked in Bowblind ?

I think any stress caused by leaving a Xbow cocked all day for many dayswould be lessened with a compound Xbow because of the let off.

Stress comes from energy stored mechanically in the bow; the wheels give different leverage on that stored energy there for the stress remains. Lee

One thing I will bring to your attention a single person blind in most cases is not big enough for a x-bow if it bums the side when you shoot it will open the side of the blind like a sharp knife and cause you to miss. Guess how I found that out. Lee
I'm always VERY mindful of that myself. I have a Double Bull Matrix 360 and I have plenty of room in there for my Excalibur, but I still sit in the back corner to give my limbs plenty of room to flex!

I also have a Stryker. I haven't shot it yet as I had shoulder surgery a couple months ago and it isn't healing well so I've been cocking my Stryker in the morning and de-cranking it at night as part of my physical therapy. If I don't shoot something soon I'm going to explode.
