Ok being a compound and recurve shooter.....

What is the dif between Compound and Recurve CB's.Is it the limbs, string or both,Witch is better......
James, how much trouble is it to change our compound strings? On your rifles, if you had a great 3 1/2lb trigger on one rifle and the other same rifle had a 8 lbs creepy trigger with overtravel, which one would you pick. Last one, if you are going to shoot serveral hundred times a season or serveral thousand in the bows life time the complicated bow gets the rocky road. I bet you know which bow has the best trigger, the simple string change and the long smooth trouble free life don't you? Oh yeah, guess which one can tollerate a dry-fire or two? LOL, ask David!!!! LOL! Ok, well maybe I've done it quite a few time too, almost getting used to it! NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Theres more but it gets boring reiterating the benifits of one bow so I'll let the other knowledgeable, repected members add to this list.

Also, when you buy a recurve CB you buy at the weight you want ie-175/200/225 and the only way to change is to buy differant limbs right!!!.
Is the compond the same way?or can it be changed with the limb bolts?

Just more dumb ???????.

To the best of my knowledge the only other limbs available are target limbs like the ones on the target model. I have two sets. Like Smoke said its the length of the stroke that determines draw weight just like your recurves. Once you bought it you're stuck with it. I would stay at 200 lbs or less, just incase some day you go to O HI YA where they have weight restrictions.

Ya just never know! Plus you don't need more than the Vixen to be honest. With the Vixen you will get pass-throughs with deer at any reasonable and unreasonable ranges. Its that fast. Apparently anything more than 250 ft/sec will do that. But then again you are so close to Elk country that the extra push would be nice but still not necessary.
