David, buy some 1" steel tubing, hardware and come to the shop some weekend and we'll make one!

I just may take you up on that..
I would have an easier time getting away during the week though..;)
A tad apprehensive about being more that 20 minutes from the house here, but that trip is undoubtedly in my near future.

One thing I would like to change is making the uprights adjustable, allowing one to slide closer to the next for working shorter strings, like my Daco's. I have used a short length of chain to close the gap, and it works, but an adjustable jig would be pretty slick too.

Likly not too much, it is stripped down right now in the shop, I am going to modify the stock to fit my sons shoulder.
I see what you are sayin though..
