RE: Broadheads
i have trouble with muzzys as speed approaches 300 fps. i prefer fixed blade b heads....but have used wasp jackhammers in the past and had good luck with them.:)

RE: Broadheads
Shewe try some magnus four blade stingers or the G5 Strikers at those speeds.

RE: Broadheads
gave the slick tricks a try this past season and had pretty good luck with them. gets awful expensive switching b heads....lol. but it keeps things interesting[8D]

RE: Broadheads
My bow chronied at around 178-185...but the lighting wasnt good outside that day and i have a feeling its shooting a bit quicker.
Ive spin tested them and they seem fine, im no expert but i cant see any wobble...i have a good feeling its just the combo of muzzys and my arrows that dont work at these speeds, gonna pick up the jackhammers for spring turkey:D |
RE: Broadheads
i'll bet you're a good bit faster than that....[8D]

RE: Broadheads
I just may try some mechanicals, they are starting to intrigue me. Are they effective on small game as well?
Would they have enough time to open in a squirrel or rabbit? |
RE: Broadheads
Lol my bad...i meant 278-287....typo on my part lol just came back and read it and was laughin

RE: Broadheads
You won't be disappointed with the Jackhammers for turkeys or deer with their 1 3/4" cut. You really can tie up the blades and shoot them into a target and then remove what you've tied and go hunting. If you are near or over 300 ft/sec double band them.

RE: Broadheads
i had good luck using florist's wire or any real thin wire to keep the blades closed for practice.:)
|
RE: Broadheads
Those little tie wires in trash bag boxes work good at keeping Mech.'s blades from opening in targets fer practice.[:o]
