Well I don't know if I talked about it last week but the last time me and dad went out we left the quiver and arrowson the truck cap and lost it on the drive home!Total bummer!! Well I bought him a new quiver from BHSS online andit came the other day and yesterday I went to the local shop to get him some arrows. Well as the guy wasgetting my stuff this other guy was watching us and started in about CB's and said he wished Ohio should be like Michigan andthe only people that use them should be handicapped. I first thought of this place but you think twice when its in person so I just let it go. Then he sayshow he was surprised I was buying more then two since I only need one totake one practice shotwith and one toshoot at a deer. Well that did it! I went into keyboard mode and thought of all we had always said and started in on how CB's are not much ahead of compounds and how can you run off your mouth at me when you have all the gadgets thatyou use and so on and so on! I let him have it, but then he pulled out his bow which was a re-curve with rug rest and feathers! So I felt I lost my argument then but still argued with him about it, almost doing the finger in the chest but he was offguard since I had all the arguments from hear right on the tip of my tongue! But the part that ticked me offmore was the store owner, cause right after me and the guy got settled down he made a comment about all CB guys were people that did not practice and such and he started in. Ijust told him what ever and told them I was sorry for not being as self righteous as they are and all most threw my arrows at them and left, but Ihad already paid and dad needed them so I kept them. SO know I have three shops withinten min, one guy is a rip off, the other is OK, but he is closed more than half of the time, never there, and now this guy does this! I will never go back and looks like I finally have to start doing my own arrows and will need a CB that I can work on with out a press!! Sorry so long, just pissed!

Jason, don't be pissed for too long other wise you won't be ready for the next arse! Remember Dan's signature! When I hear something like that I just give them a blast and walk away, why listen to rhetoric? Besides, do you know the definition of crazy? Its when you do the same thing time and time again and always expecting different results. They ain't gonna change so why bother brother? LOL! Keep the faith!

I must be very fortunate in the area Im in I have yet to expierence any negativity because I use a crossbow. bout the only thing i have encountered is guys wondering how I got approved to use one. most are just curious about how they shoot..
I wouldnt let it get to you Jason, and you can always order arrows if your not comfortable making your own.

What dnk said is good advise,thought it was the end of the world when I had to go to a cross bow but you guys have made up for the treatment
from former hunting friends that are acting like buttheads because I had
to shoot a cross bow.After shooting for about three hours this morning I
really am surprisd at how much I enjoy the shooting and the aspects of
the sport.Stay cool not all people are like those guys,they will come
around in time.

I'll tell yah Jason. Whenever I have a "discussion" in any form about hunting, shooting, ect. I walk away thinking about all the things I should have said but did not.
I'ts pretty obvious that in this forum everyone shoots their Xbow and I would bet they spend plentyof time with theirShotguns, Rifles, and ML's.
I gotbuddys busting my nads cause I am shooting an Xbow but they don't mind dropping 150 Grains of Pyrodex down the barrel of a slick TC and ramming home a saboted 300 grain round while I still shoot by choice a .56 TC Smoothbore with iron sights.

As a quick sidenote my freind who I head to PA with tomorrow really does not think muck of my Xbow. A bit of jealously me thinks. HE is bringinga gun he has not fired once this year and I have put enough rounds thru my .308 to start a small war.
