Default Together we stand

How many of us uderstand that every move we make, whether crossbower or vert bower, is scrutinized by each other and the world and that every move must not exclude any type of or form of archery? In other words answer yes or no, are we archers first or crossbowers first?
Please no posts just a yes or no.

I'm sorry. I don't understand the poll question you are asking. Was I an archer with a compound before I got a crossbow or did I start right off with a crossbow first? What? What do you want to know?

To clarify, If some one asks you how you hunt do you say archery or crossbow. If some one asks what you're hobby is do you say archery or crossbow shooting. I want to know how many people class youself as an archer or a crossbower. I want to know how many people expect to be acepted by any and all archery groups and think they are no better but equal to other types of archers. I want to know how many people want any division between vert archers and us crossbow archers to disappear for good.

Yes, Archers first!
Jason, you, Henry I and similar minded archers will direct the future of crossbows. The others will merely follow.

Archery my 50 year hobby, hunting my 53 year sport, xbows my recent choice of archery equipment.

Here's where this is going guys...... a problem arose......and it's hanging around like a case of parvo at the kennel.

I don't know who was right or wrong and I don't care NOW cause it's over.
Please just tuck this thing in for a dirt nap and move on. Dan

I am a HUNTER. I use whatever the season allows. Love my 11-87 slug gun, my browning micro makes me feel warm all over, My .56 smoothbore tosses a roundball alright, my inline shoots better that me, My Hoyt Vortex flatlines them and now I hope to shoot sumpin with my new toy. Oh yeah, I see you can buy spear heads for pig hunting. Not sure I want to try that, but sure would like to film Smokegiving it a shot. >>>>Whack

I will clarify though, when one ask I say bow hunt. If they want details I will say crossbow. I am lucky as to live in the great state of OHIO and the CB has been let loose for thirty years now and is widely accepted as a form of bow hunting. The place I work at has about maybe six or seven CB users and about four or five compound/longbow users, so I am lucky and it is well accepted in my area. Some states it is taboo and the CB guy has to almost be in the closet, and thus their can be alot of tension in the subject and the then fallout of the seperation. I think you like I or maybe you have always been doing itDon have been trying real hard to not let the name calling get started at least on my end and advoid thoes threads when they arise. No matter how much we may feellike its the whole long bow community against us I have realizedthat its only a few people that truely wish to ride us like a stick pony and the majority of the guys could care less. Just like its a few guys on here that are makeing us all look like punks to the long bow community. And I dont say a few guys in a bad way, but when the post get out of hand even when you may or may not be in the right it only hurts the cause. I think it was lemoyne said if your not carefull you end up with a mouth full of s**t if you eat to much. But if thats what I have to do in order to further our acceptance with the long bow community then so be it, HNI Cristine did alot of work to get us this forum and I would like to see it accepted and looked at in a good way! Sorry don for a no post thread, but I had to say it.
