RE: Which Crossbow would you go with?
Reb, I hope you pick them up first and consider and then shoot them and then reconsider. The feel of the xbow and then the feel of the shot is important. But then again, I am sure I don't have to tell you that. Too bad that The Squirrel didn't do so. But then again you are not a rodent.

RE: Which Crossbow would you go with?
well Im going to go out on a limb again and may catch of lot of heat for it ,, but for anyone to claim that x brand is the best is just plain wrong maybe to state that IMO brand a is the best would be more appropriate.
I have not been able to come accross any data to support any claims as to one brand being any better than another which brand is best is a personnel choice, I might would look into a certain brand because of things others have had to say about it, but in the end I would want to get my hands of them and check them out shoot them and see which feels right to me .. every manufacture is going to have somthing they use as a selling gimmic, I will not go into what they are using as selling points,, I would get to a few shops and talk with the people that run the shop and get all the info I could on whatever xbow I was interested in ,, find out which ones have the most returns , which are brought back for the most problems, I too have a prefered brand but it is just my choice in xbows. and the xbow that I chose may not be right for you, ask questions about the ones you are interested in see if anyone has anything negative to say about it,, and not from people that are dieharders for a certain brand,, but from people that own whatever one you are interested in. see what they have to say about it .. I do know thet there are a lot of people that have said brand a is the bestbut if you talk to them via PM that changes and that admit they would like to also have brand b because they think it is good also.. Let us know what you end up getting we are here to help no matter which one you get .. |

ORIGINAL: Rebel Hog ORIGINAL: squirrelkilla23 excaliburs are easy to maintane, easy to replace parts, and is reliable, yet expensive. Excals are expensive???????:D:D:D:D NEW! TenPoint® Pro Elite™ Crossbow Package $1,649.99 I'm not trying to pick a fight, because Excal and horton make good bows too, but don't just say 10pts are way to expensive. The titan was Inside archery's best buy at $499 package. Horton makes a $1000 package. When you dress out and upper Excal you get way over $1000. [:o]Sorry, I just couldn't take any more. Randy |

Randy 10pt, my bad! Sorry!I also should have stayed within the appropriate price range for all. I live 9miles from Barnett Dist., within 10miles from 6 WalMarts, 6 miles from 2 Sports Authorities, 70 miles from Bass Pro, 80 miles from Excalibur Dist., 80 miles from Bear Archery Plant and I just see that the Excalibur is the one with less maintenance to worry about. I am sure they are all good and they are all accurate if tuned properly, but there's no tuning on the Excal and if and when a string wasto go,change the string in a couple of minutes in the field without the worry of having to tune the cams again. This is what has me sold on Excal! Didnt mean to step on your toes! |
RE: Which Crossbow would you go with?
10ptCrossbow, no one here would ever want a fight or do anything offensive on purpose. We all love to get along with as much ribbing humanly possible. Reb was just saying it was what sold him, I don;t think he meant anything else.
On the other hand it sure is nice to have someone here with much knowledge of Ten Point crossbows. You are what we need here so keep jumping in to educate us please. It makes us better xbowers! |
RE: Which Crossbow would you go with?
I'll be happy to answer questions. I mostly hang out at AT, but I lurk here a lot too. I will try and start posting. I will admit you are a happier bunch over here. Ther have been some serious battles on AT lately.
