My Hogless Hunt
 

Lots of little things not in my favor. The place was flooded, there were only two stands xbow useable, pigs were coming out about dark til 10 pm, and the lights w/ red lens they gave us weren't enough to see any thing but cross hair in Varizone. Took one 30 ydshot at a bobcat, cut a little fur off its belly, no blood thankfully. Had one shot w/ .223 but it was a sow w/ litter. Saw yotes too far, turkeys a week to early, fox, skunks, ect. I did get a real nice free hat, LOL that I got about $400 in, and I'd go back tomorrow if I had my own light. My 2 rifle totin buds got 1 hog total, so I don't feel too bad, and I found the arrow I shot at the bobcat, Slick Trick not even dull!! Only 160 miles from me.

So you would go back and hunt there again? What is price per day or how many days per hunt? Were there any big tusked hogs or just meat hogs? Hey you will get'em.:)

Fish cost a fortune. Two Virginia rednecks go on a fishing trip. They rent all the equipment - the reels, the rods, the wading suits, the rowboat, the car, and even a cabin in the woods. I mean they spend a fortune!

The first day they go fishing, but they don't catch anything. The same thing happens on the second day, and on the third day. It goes on like this until finally, on the last day of their vacation, one of the men catches a fish.

As they're driving home they're really depressed. One guy turns to the other and says, "Do you realise that this one lousy fish we caught cost us fifteen hundred bucks?"

The other guy says, "Wow! Then it's a good thing we didn't catch any more!"

That's ok guys/gal[hi cat]. I can take it as well as give it!!LOL besides hogs open here on 4/8 so I can hunt these Arky piggies, which are a little dumber than their Texas kin, as they don't get the pressure here. Got my Zwickeys today, gonna field test them soon, mmmmmmnn baked rooster!!!

Two friends from Illinois, where I'm from, came down. The one I hadn't met yet had business in Ar. I put the oneI knew up for Wed nite, the other arrived Thurs. we left Fri am. Had a ball. one's a vertical type, had match here [check yer email Dnk] and I lucked two into 2" at 30 yds. He never even shot his compound!! Didn't want to dull his b-heads, LOL he knew his clock was already cleaned!!1 Good thing, cause I aint that good!!! I was kinda bummed it all had to happen in the dark, as I wanted to watch er... ah... the results of a well placed shot? I'll get Arkie piggies in a week, so it's all good. Every day you're on this side of the grass is a good one, in my book!!

My sentiments exactly Dan. I have lost so many good close friends lately and I hear people bitching about weather, politics, traffic what ever. Every day I wake up and make to work and back I figure is a bonus. Yup the good guys go first! Way too bad. Lost one of my best friends a few years ago.. still bummed out. He made me feel the way you describe. I'm right with you Dan! Sorry for getting serious...
