Rebel, the Excalibur will hold up. Check the warranty! I've never heard of anyone with a reasonable problem after the warranty period being refused. Course that is probably said about lots of makers. Ask the guys on the forum how many shots they have taken with theirs. BTW there are lots of other bows owned there too. I don't go often because its too serious of a site for me to hang around. No fun really. Besides Squirrel isn't there![:-]

You ain't gonna wear out Excalibur, they just get better with age and broke in. Horton get broke! haha! Now wear on strings is a common thing on all xbows, i just keep mine waxed and keep on shooting. I have a brand new one fer my back up and it goes with me all the time. I don't want my hunt ended because a string gets cut or frayed badly.

Hey Squkilla: Do you gotta put "wheel bearing" grease on them thar pulleys?? They got grease zerks??
Maybe some of mom's Crisco will work in a pinch. I always heard the sayin THE SQUEAKY WHEEL GETS THE GREASE but just now figured out what it meant!!! LOL
