Crossbow Poll
Crossbow Poll I thought it might be fun to see what Minnesota really thought about the crossbow. Then a friend sends me an email from Alberta Canada entailing the request for Alberta archers to vote in the survey to tip the scales in favor of no. Gloves are off, friends. Work your magic, people. http://www.outdoornews.com/ |
RE: Crossbow Poll
DJH -
It seems unseemly (read that as cheating) that you would spam all the crossbow sites to stack the vote on this MN poll, which should, in fairness, reflect the will of MN sportsmen. No matter - crossbows are getting whipped, so I suppose the voice of the MN sportsman is coming through loud and clear....;) |
RE: Crossbow Poll
After I got the email below, I decided to get down in the dirt and fight like the real bowhunters sores. I for one wanted to know what the poll in Minnesota would show. That will not be possible, but I will shore up the vote any way that I can. If the NABC has turned it into an International survey, then lets unleash all the dogs of war. I am sorry we didn't get this email sooner that's all.
If you could go to this "link" and vote -- will help out our fellow "bow"hunters in minnesota!! I voted so us canucks are allowed. Thanks Subject: Help MN on Crossbow Survey NABC Organizational Reps, Below is a message to the coalition from Randy Doyle, the NABC rep for the Minnesota Bowhunters Inc.Randyis asking for assistance from the NABCgroups with regard to a Minnesota crossbow survey that is atwww.outdoornews.com. A large NOresponse to this particular survey will beimmensely helpful toour Minnesota bowhunter colleagues in their effort tokeep crossbows out of their bow season. There is an a active pro-crossbow entity in MN that will no doubtbe pushing to get people to vote YES.So please take just a few seconds to respond to this survey per Randy's request, and encourage others to do the same.Stan RauchNABC Facilitator P.O. I keep hearing Crossbows are going to be introduced in Minnesota this year. So far no legislation that I've seen but all NABC members can help us out by getting on Outdoornews.com now and voting on the issue. I beleive an overwheming NO would help us immensely if and when legislation does show up. Thanks Randy Doyle Minnesota Bowhunters Inc. |
RE: Crossbow Poll
I see......
so suddenly, two wrongs make a right. Noone takes these polls seriously anyway, since we all realize they are spammed heavily from both sides. You, by the way, have been personally involved in spamming these polls for a long time. I have sent the editor of the Minnesota Outdoor News an e-mail explaining how you, personally, spammed Hunting.net, Archery Talk, Excalibur, KYhunting, and TNDeer looking for crossbow votes to corrupt his poll. I even sent him the url's. I'm sure that anyone who reads this will understand how much relevance this "MN" poll has to the sportsmen in MN. |

Wow! You to married or do youjust meet every once and a while for good conversation? Sounds like you got a stalker on your hands DJH!:)

Do you really think you are doing anyone any good? Did you read the rules of this forum? |

RE: Crossbow Poll
Welcome aboard Catsclaw,
This forum is full of good people that are knowledgeable and enjoy helping and sharing with others. Unfortunately there are also those that concentrate their efforts on stirring things up. But it doesn’t take long and bad apples get put in their place. As you know, crossbows have opened the door for many that would otherwise have to pass on hunting or retire from a lifestyle they have grown to love for many years. Thanks for helping to educate the young lad. |
RE: Crossbow Poll
To Thesourse i see by your posts you have been busy. Following DJH from site to site while he is promoting the use of crossbows. I can understand your not a fan of our type of Bow. I on the otherhand have watched this same deal go on back in the 50's with longbow against recurve bows! Then they both made up and jumped on the compound bows in late 60's. Now its get the xbows. We should all stand against PETA and other groups like them. Its sad that we don't get along, my xbow is a short range bow 40 yds. if everything is right.I want the choice to use the type of bow i want to hunt with. I wonder why is it the archery hunters don't cry and whine their sniveling to the Rifle hunters, would they get out voted? Yup no doubt about it. We know the rules set forth in this forum and we abide by them. Those who come here should too, go to the archery forum and cry on there, you find some others of your ilk! :D

RE: Crossbow Poll
Thanks Source for the list of xbow forums, there was a few I'd missed. Not sure I follow all of this, did the vewrt crowd in MI ask for help from the vert crowd in MT?? Who invited the Canadians in?? Didn't all of this happen before this DJH posted on all of those forums??? Wouldn't this be more like campaigning than Spamming?? By the way, I think you're right, it's not gonna mattewr anyhow!

RE: Crossbow Poll
DJH: Read on another forum where they stopped the poll. Not to worry! You, my friend, fight the "good fight",
Your info is always 100% accurate, if not 100% popular. The times, they are a changin!! [Bob Dylan} I, along with many others take note of the fact that you are making posts on various forums long after most folks are sleeping. Thank-you!! We xbowers will eventually be "free" because of efforts like yours, and the fact that we hold the high ground. |
RE: Crossbow Poll
Its a PARTY!!!
Good to see you all!!! I love it! Thanks Daniel!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
RE: Crossbow Poll
How do I always miss it? I mean I seen the start but missed the action.. Oh well keep up the fight on the other forums DJH. Hopefully all the states will wake up and smell the coffie someday and all will be able to enjoy the CB.

RE: Crossbow Poll
Thanks DJH for the heads up and the fight for us xbow users.anyone that tryes to stop another fellow hunter from getting into the field with hie or her weapon of choise(as long as it is legal)is plainly gotta be a dues paying member of "PETA".they may say no and just want to stop some form of hunting, but they really are a member.thats the way "PETA" does, they try to stur up hate and discontent among others.some people arn't happy if there not telling untruths and sturing the pot.
if we as hunters stick together , we can show there true colors, if puke has a color. thanks again DJK , were behind you all the way. |
RE: Crossbow Poll
Now that right there makes me chuckle, no doubt. Keep up the good work DJH. The worm has definitelty turned, and crossbows will become an additional choice for all hunters in every state in the not too distant future. The more information collected from states allowing crossbows, the more ludicrous the arguments made against them become.
It may take some compromise to get usage passed in some States, like NY, but compromise is the road to bringing hunters together. Once the information is collected and reviewed, we just may find those who rally against the crossbow will sway the other way, except for the factionistas, of course. Fortunately, most hunters are just that, hunters. Its the few that make it rough on the many... |
RE: Crossbow Poll
Hey y'all would double over with laughter too see all those so called Bow shooting purists, when they pull out their hidden xbow! Yup they don't ever want anyone to know, but lots of them have them. They secretly shoot them when no one is around, and smile! Those who don't have one dream of owning a good xbow!:D

RE: Crossbow Poll
ORIGINAL: Dnk How do you consider what DJH has done spamming? After all I as well as other crossbow shooters want to know about the position of our activities? |
RE: Crossbow Poll
ORIGINAL: Dnkre:"noone takes these polls seriously" and "I suppose the voice of NM sportsman is coming loud and clear." I don't know if you are dissing NM sportsmen or crossbow shooters! Maybe you should edit or delete something.[:@] I never said anything about New Mexico sportsmen, since the poll was taken in Minnesota. Perhaps if you were a citizen of The United States you would understand our abbreviations.[8D] |

thesource, you are getting pretty soggy here. Why don't you have yourself bared from this forum and talk with some purists some where. Most of all leave us alone. We were happy without you.

RE: Crossbow Poll
I will put it another way, why don't you email DJH rather than post which makes it my buisness? By posting in a public forum you want us all to see what you are saying.
BTW I do not mean this in a bad or insulting way but have you checked your blood pressure when you are posting? I really am not kidding. I do not think this is healthy for any individual to act in this manner. |

RE: Crossbow Poll
ORIGINAL: Catsclaw You are mixing one debate with another and it only shows you as an anti. If you have a problem with the context or direction a poll is taking, make that your cause. Attacking DJH is not the way to prove your point. Let the people of MN determine the fate of MN. The rest of us have NO BUSINESS getting involved. The reason DJH is involved is because he does this EVERYWHERE. Did you know he was booted from the bowhunting forum of this site because he was (and I quote) "spamming the site with crossbow propaganda'? Of course, you wouldn't know. That was months ago, and I see that you are a relative newbie. Well, trust me....and welcome to the site!:) |

RE: Crossbow Poll
Source: I'm not sure what you're after, but you're not going to make any friends or influence many people by attacking what DJH does to further the xbow movement, on xbow forums! I'm from Ar. somewhat disabled, and would like to be able to go anywhere to hunt w/ my xbow without having to jump thru hoops. It is my right as an American to hunt with whatever I want. There seems to be alot of organized anti-xbow activity going on, which is those folks right to pursue. All of this started when vert crowd from MI asked for out of state, out of country votes. All of this is really very good, because it keeps the controversy going. The light of public scrutiny will help the xbow movement. Thanks for the help!!
