Default This was my 1st crossbow deer!

After 12 afternoons in my API Telescoping Packmaster, I had this buck come under my stand during a strange snow storm, to become my 1st crossbow kill.

I had to give up using a bow in December of 1982, when I shattered my left elbow and was told to NEVER draw a bow again. Massachusetts changed it's crossbow law in 2003, and I got a shot at a spike and missed because I didn't pay attention as to where my crossbow linbs were. In 2004 I had no idea where my shooting lanes would be and therefore, never cleared any and saw a doe and 2 bucks on opening day and was not able to take a shot. 2005, was different. I made sure everything was taken in to account for a shot and this was the results.

Right on! First one is always the best. I remeber mine like yesterday.

How many points and how about a better shot of the rack? What kind of bow?

Way to go and congrats.

Congrats on the buck! Im glad to here your back in with the bow season. Also noticed your deer is on a sled, did you drag the deer out with it? Have thought about getting one to try just haven't done it.

He was a 2x3 and really a crotch horn to me. I used a Barnett Quad 300. Sorry I do not have a better picture of the rack.

I've used that sled for several deer and it realloy makes a difference in the amount of work required.
