RE: how long in the freezer
Greets,
We wrap all our game as tazman suggests. Double wrapped in freezer paper, squeeze all the air out. I found some old stuff that was year and a half old, it was still good.
Just my uneducated opinion!

I put it in zip lock freezer bags and squeeze all the air out of them before sealing. I then roll that up tight in freezer foil so there are about 3 layers. Then I tape it and date it. If I don't date it I could never tell from looks how old it was. A year is not normally a problem if you can keep it that long. This year I gave too much away and I'm thinking I'm going to run out. Nahhh, crop damage starts July 1.

RE: how long in the freezer
One year is max. for me.Very rarely does anything last longer than 6 mnths at my household.I always check the deepfreeze a few months before season and move any remaining packages into my kitchen freezer.
