Hot Sauce
What's you favorite brand? I like Louisiana Crystal on just about everything? I like Tabasco on Red Beans and Rice. I started making a gallon out of ripend (red) jalopeno peppers left over from the garden last year. I'v been testing it, but don't think it has matured yet. Anybody else make there own? Good Luck. Capt Brad.

RE: Hot Sauce
Tabasco has the best flavor in my opinion.
I also like any of the Panola products. Not real hot but very good flavor. |

RE: Hot Sauce
I eat about a bottle of Red Hot a week. Even got my wife putting it on everyting now.

RE: Hot Sauce
I like Cholula's the best. It's more of a Mexican style sauce and IMO, it has a better flavor the Tabasco and I don't have to enjoy it for hours or pop pepcid like candy. I enjoy spicy things for the flavor. I guess it's just my chemistry, but Tabasco gives me killer heartburn and I usually handle hot stuff pretty well.

RE: Hot Sauce
Tabasco and Crystal are fine, but as a very long time "pepper-head", I got tired of their "vinegar-y" flavour. For the best taste, I'm a big fan of Melinda's. It's from Belize, and is a Caribbean-style habanero sauce. Very tasty with good heat, not like some other that are made with Habanero extract as well as hanbanero paste...they're high on heat and low on flavour.

I LIKE TEXAS PETES

RE: Hot Sauce
I like the Red Hot for the flavor and mild heat. Tabasco is another good one also. If you get some brave (or drunk) people, give them some Daves Nuclear Hell Sauce. Although I don't recommend trying it yourself. It is as hot as the name implies and not fit for human consumption.

RE: Hot Sauce
Tabasco for me . my wife likes some kind of la hot sauce brand. i tell her it's generic crap. i went to the tabasco factory once the whole place smells like it.

RE: Hot Sauce
Blair's sudden death, and after death sauce is one of a my fav's. I like Louisiana hot sauce's as well. My girlfriend cooks wings with this hotsauce that is mango based. Interesting flavour to say the least.

RE: Hot Sauce
Red Hot for flavour and Tabasco for heat. You can use much more Red Hot without having your lips go numb. The effects the next day are also much milder. For Buffalo style suicide chicken wings it's got to be Tabasco.

RE: Hot Sauce
Tabasco for me. I use to be on La. hot sauce for a while but it didn't have enough "bite" for me. I wanna try Texas Pete though...
|
RE: Hot Sauce
TEXAS PETES GOOD, GOT A NICE SMELL AND TASTE I USE IT ON MY HOT WINGS, LET THE WINGS SOAK IN IT OVER NIGHT AND THEN COOK THEM AND THEN DIP THEM IN IT AGAIN. MAN OH MAN ARE THEY GOOD
|
RE: Hot Sauce
I haven't tried Texas Petes. Do you need Preparation H the day after?
Dan O. |
RE: Hot Sauce
Tabasco for me too.
I will use the others though, but if I am buying, it's gonna be Tabasco! |
RE: Hot Sauce
NAW, IF YOU MIX THE TEXAS PETE WITH FRANKS RED HOT YOU'LL GET A NICE BITE, BUT YOU WON'T NEED ANY BUTT CREAM THE NEXT DAY
|
RE: Hot Sauce
Tabasco, I use it like most people use ketchup, but there are some really good ones out there.
|
RE: Hot Sauce
If you like it spicy you may want to check out some chinese hot oil, it is a different hot than tabasco, but depending upon how much you use will determine how much ice cream you should eat afterwards.

RE: Hot Sauce
Tazman; you're absolutely right. There's nothing like finding another human organ to burn out. Tabasco on the lips and tongue, horseradish on the nose and eyes. They cure worms you know. That's my excuse, any I've never had worms.
