Grinder Recommendations
Hello,
After standing in front of our Kitchen-Aid grinder attachment for many more hours than expected last year, I've decided that getting a better/faster grinder is necessary. What grinder do you use and/or recommend? |
LEM Big bite, I bought the 12 and yes, it is expensive. I use it to grind deer, make sausages and bologna. I ahve the 25# mixing attachment and now even the juicer to do tomatoes for canning.

How much meat, how many animals a year do you process? Usually the only time I use my grinder is during dear season. Some years I kill 3-4 some years only one. By the time I get out the loins and blackstrap and take some meat in for summer sausage I might only grind 15-20 pounds at a time. For that amount I have a small 100.00 grinder from Cabelas and it works fine. If you are grinding 100 lbs at a time, several times a year then a larger one will be needed. Let us know what your usage is and you will get better recommendations.

The juicer has been on my list to get since I'm growing tomatoes. Can't wait to can lots of sauce. |
