Buddy invited me over one night years ago for a roast porqupine dinner. He overcooked it and it was like eating electrical wire.

My mother fed us when times were tough

baked squirrel. Dad would shoot several squirrels and mom would season them and bake them at a low temp for an hour. We fed them to my girls when they were teenagers, waited till they had their fill then told them what they were eating. Now they love squirrel.

Never cooked it but I ate kangaroo in a restaurant once and it was the best meat I've ever had.

Ive had freshly chopped octopus that was squirming around dipped in sesame oil with a little jalapeno. It was delicious once you got over the squirming part. Also had freshly cut sea urchins that was still moving around, not my favorite it tasted too much like the sea. Also had abalone, tasted like hard mushroom. Pigs feet, couldnt get over that and had to stop eating it. Also had silkworm bugs as a kid, took me 13 years to finally read the can and realize that it was a bug. Ive had turtle meat, it was pretty jerky, but it may have been the way it was cooked. Also had bison meat, delicious. Raw Sushi, Raw tuna dipped in soy sauce.

If it walks, runs, crawls, or swims, it is edible.
