My dad and my husband are going hunting in Eastern Oregon. I cook everynight for them and they will be lost without that. I am sure they won't starve but, I want them to eat well. I'd go but that means we take the kids. NOWAY.... Not yet. So... back to question at hand. What can I makeup ahead of time that they can take out and cook. They will have a camper, and use the fire too. I'm trying to make this as simple as possible for them. Me too, for that matter.
Thanks ahead of time...

If you have a man that doesn't cook, I guarentee he doesn't do dishes. Send things that are simple, an plenty of disposable plates, an bowls. Be my best guess, that there is probably a saloon nearby that will be doing most of there cookin.

One of my favourites to take on a hunting trip is homemade spagetti and meat(sauce)balls. Cook the spag at home and then put it all in a large ziplock bag or portion it out. All you have to do is drop the bags into a pot of boiling water to heat things up.

If their camper is equipped with electricity, cooking in a slow cooker is something we do often. We actually use two, one for the meat, one for veggies. Simple to use, no fuss, and easy to cook. Set it up in the am and it's ready by the end of a hunting day.

Here is something that you may want to try.
In a heavy duty zip lock freezer bag break 2 eggs add a handfull of shredded cheeze, Chopped peppers, black pepper & salt, Add any left over cooked sausage or bacon or anything else you care to throw in . Squeeze the bag untill everything is pretty well mixed. Zip the bag shut getting out most of the air and drop into a pot of boiling water for a few minutes untill done.
When cool enough to handle unzip and eat it right out of the bag. This works well in camp because there is very little cleanup to do.
